You are loved.
“So now I’m giving you a new commandment: LOVE EACH OTHER. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.” John 13:34
If you have ever been hurt or condemned by somebody who calls themselves a Christian, I’m sorry. Just know that Jesus would never hurt nor condemn you, he LOVES you!
In the New Testament, Jesus never failed to show everybody around him what real love looks like. He ate with people that nobody liked, he washed his disciple's feet, he saved a broken woman from being stoned. He looked at people for who they truly were regardless of their lifestyle, race, gender, or sexuality. He just loved!
John 13:34 is telling us to follow his example to truly love others, not to pretend but to look at people through a lens of love, instead of hatred and judgment.
